Does it make a difference if I boil 10gms for 60mins or 20gms for 30 mins? Which is better?
According to Beersmith it makes no difference.
I plugged in 10 and 20 grams of Chinook at 12.4 AA for 60 and 30 mins respectively and the result was the same at 16 IBU for each addition

I use this online calculator:
boil and batch size = 23L (I usually boil in at least 2 Litres of water, which I then strain using muslin or coffee press)
target OG = 1.000 (when boling in water and not in or with the wort itself)
10 grams, 10% AA, for 60 minutes = 17.29 IBUs
20 grams, 10% AA, for 30 minutes = 26.58 IBUs
What I really want to know is; Does more hops provide a smoother bitterness than less hops (or vise-versa).
I can do the calculations for IBU and the amounts are just an example.
