Last night I had the most amazing hand pulled pint of IPA from the Twisted Hop in Woolston, Christchurch. It was their Citra Hopback. Definitely better from the cask 🙂
Some time in August 2012 I had a few very good pints of a beer called “Long White Cloud” at the Gray’s Inn in Embleton in Northumberland in the UK, I hope to get back there again soon for a few more!
The beer is made by a Scottish Brewery called Tempest but the hops are from NZ and this is what their website http://www.tempestbrewco.com/beerboard/ says about it:
A beer first brewed in a garage in Christchurch New Zealand, this is our Kiwi inspired pale ale, 5.6% abv.
Malt: Extra Pale.
Hops: South Island New Zealand.
Bitterness: 35 IBU.
Tropical fruit, spice, vinous in hop character, refreshing white gold pale ale.
Otherwise a Sprig and Fern Tasman Lager please
The Leigh Sawmill Pale Ale is (was my favorite?) Now it’s my brew out of the Williams Warn. Their Pilsner is great too. 😀
