Yes, I have done many beers in the Grandfather and transferred to the WW with great success.
A huge tip to handle Trub. use 1 whirlfoc tablet 10 min left in the boil. chip wort, transfer to the WW and wait 1 hour before you pitch yeast. after 1 hour, you should see the sediment bottle is about 3/4 filled with trub. remove the trub, and pitch yeast. great results every time!
