I tried Low Rider by Croucher Brewing which is only 2.7% but doesn’t taste like the watered down stuff that is normal low strength beer. Does anyone have any idea how to replicate a full taste but low strength beer with WW kits? I though maybe a pale ale can and some malts with lots of hops might do it but has anyone had a go already?

    Cheers

It is quite hard, but I only make low alcohol beers from my brewmaster, using just the LME, no DME, and add between 50 and 100gms of steeped hops depending on their alpha acid level i.e. 50 gms of citra because the alpha acid is 13.
I also have been adding 120gms of steeped malts.
I hope this helps, it’s taken me a while but they are tasting pretty good now.
I mainly use Irish Red ale, English Brown ale, English Pale ale and Dutch Pilsener.

    Thanks Dave

Has anyone used maltodextrin in a brew?
