Have put down a brew last night of the WW Summer Ale kit.
Made a tea consisting of:
75g grated fresh ginger
200g manuka honey
6 cardamom seeds
Smelt bloody great and is currently bubbling away nicely.
Wondering how the manuka will be as I wanted to use Rata however could not locate any.
Did you add the ginger straight into the fermenter or make a tea (or something else)?
I was told that manuka honey may kill your yeast as it contains anti bacterial elements..
Im keen to hear how this turns out tho, as I think it sounds like a winning combo of flavours!
